If you’ve ever been curious to peek inside the home of a diplomat, today is the day! Our house, and some thoughts on living this lifestyle in Copenhagen and beyond are up on DesignMom’s Living with Kids series and I’m thrilled to share a little bit more about our life.
DesignMom is one of the very first bloggers that I read, back when my own thoughts for a blog were just little seedlings. I appreciated her honest, but fun, approach to motherhood which I found inspiring when I was teetering with the decision of when and if to become a mother myself. And since she upped and moved her entire family of six kids to France for the experience of it all a few years ago, and then back again to blaze a trail for her family in California, I appreciated the kindred spirit.
I get asked a lot where we “hide the Drexel” in our home (diplo-speak for all that big brown heavy furniture that is usually standard issue in most American diplomatic residences), so today’s post should shed a little light on that, as well as what we’ve loved about living here, what’s been hard, and what I’m most afraid of going forward. I hope you enjoy seeing a little more behind the scenes!
