I’m Ania – a thirty-something spouse of a diplomat. The funny thing is that I studied to become a diplomat myself, but somehow married one instead. It’s just one of those twists that happen when you don’t expect it, and it sometimes makes me feel like a cliche from the 50’s.
Professionally, I’m an HR Consultant and I continue that even when we’re abroad. Personally, I’m a mother to a diplo-tot and a diplo-baby. By background, I have a graduate degree in international relations and international economics. And by hobby, I enjoy keeping track of this nutty life of ours in words and in pictures for our family, friends and those interested in learning a little more about what life is like for an American diplomatic family.
We live our life in two to three year increments in different parts of the world, each time not knowing where the next adventure will be. Some call it crazy, but we like to think of it as fun. And we’ll keep doing it as long as we still keep finding the fun in it. We’re currently posted in Copenhagen, Denmark through mid-2016.
