If you follow along on Instagram, you probably witnessed my last minute overhaul of the guest room. When we first arrived it was also my office, so we had to make it work for both purposes. But I between maternity leave and then setting up shop in the dining room since we had so many guests this summer, means that it didn’t make much sense to keep it that way. I’d been meaning to rearrange it forever and just never got around to it. Especially since reading this piece on “sleeping in someone else’s bed” (and btw, isn’t all the imagery over on the new House of Valentina gorgeous?), I figured now was the time to do it – especially since we have about a dozen houseguests between now and the holidays.
A stop by my favorite store in the neighborhood helped me pull it together with a few accessories in keeping with the black and white theme. The store belongs to the founder and creator of Tine K Home, which had become one of my favorite brands here, for it’s global but simple feel. I’ve always wanted to photograph the store since I love it so much (and it’s also my favorite place for flowers in Copenhagen – their selection is pretty much the best) but just haven’t dared to ask yet – but in the meantime, I’ll leave you with a few shots of this little local love of mine.
