It’s the last of the May/June holiday weekends (sad tear…)… this time for Constitution Day here in Denmark. It actually is a double whammy – once for the constitutional monarchy, which they signed in on 1849, and also for the current constitution which they signed in on the same day in 1953. Sadly, they don’t get as nuts about it as they do in Norway (parades! national costumes! ribbons! – it’s on my “to see list” – as it’s on May 17 we missed this year but maybe next?) but they do also have Father’s Day so it’s a triple holiday if you will. Which we will be spending in Dublin of all places… But we’ll see you when back next week!
