This city…it’s just something else. Salzburg has become a bit of a security blanket for us over the years. There’s a certain amount of routine that we’ve developed there, yet each time we find a new little nook or cranny to explore. So we thought it would be a good place to jump into tourism with two children – a toddler and an infant. For the seasoned parents out there, you’ll probably chuckle at the thought since it probably comes naturally by now to you, but for us, it was a little bit nervewracking to get back into traveling with an infant (the carting around of all the stuff….the pump and the milk….having to stop to feed) while still entertaining a very mobile, and very talkative four year old. Since Salzburg is comfortable stomping grounds for us, we started here.
And of course, on every trip there are those things that never disappoint. Wurstel eggs at Cafe Tomaselli’s is one of them. But the others include views over the gorgeous mountains, and Salzburgers themselves. I always tell people it’s one of the most elegant cities I know. One day, I’d love to do a photo study just of old school Salzburgers but with a baby in the ergo and a toddler on the side, I didn’t quite feel that this was the trip. Salzburgers take great care in their appearance, always in tailored coats, and crisp hats, everything trim and fit to a T.
