Sometimes we could all use a bit of calm before the weekend...there's something just so soothing to me about the work of Marcel Christ who somehow manages to completely stop time just for a second in things that are otherwise in motion. In this Paint series, Christ captures a particulal moment when paint merges with water in that expansive nano-second when two materials are actually becoming something else. Not thick paint, and not muddy water...this is that moment of combination. Christ seems to know the perfect timing for this not only as a photographer but also a chemical engineer. As we close out January and welcome February which will be a crazy time of travel and work projects, this seems to be just the calm I need before the storm...Friday, February 1, 2013
Photography Friday: Marcel Christ's Paint...
