Our vacation is just around the corner! A week from now we'll be on the sunny shores of Mexico - we have the wedding of some very good friends coming up and we're building a trip around it to celebrate, visit a few favorite spots from our trip last year, as well as to have some new adventures.
When I got married way back when (and by that I mean 5 years ago), believe it or not, inspiration boards were just barely getting started and the people I knew that made them usually did it in some form of power point - again, believe it or not. We know other tools now, but I have to say one of the easiest ones I've come across is the inspiration board maker at Minted. You can do a combination of their cards with your own images and ta-da! inspiration! For the newly engaged, I definitely recommend a gander through some of the already existing boards (Old Hollywood Glam caught my eye, definitely bookmarking that for a future party - and I'm partial to Summer of Sunshine since yellow was so prominent in our own wedding).
Above is what I've dreamed up for some Mexico wedding inspiration since it's on the brain right now - The benefit of being a party guest rather than a bride all over again is that you can focus your inspirations on important things...like refreshing foods and bar carts (from our Maroma trip!). Where will your inspirations take you this year?
Alright, Mexico, seven days and counting!
