In reading the paper on the tube (metro!) this morning, I came across one of those odd kinds of things you really only see in the UK. Kind of quirky, kind of bizarre, and I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen anything like it…Turns out that you can tour the Science Museum in London…dressed up as a cockroach. Yep. Cockroach helmet, antenneae, and body casing. Rather curious, no?
The tour is meant to give a roach’s perspective on humans, especially in light of environmental and climate chnages – after all, they were around since the time of the dinosaurs and they’re still here so they might know a thing or two about survival.
I’ve had a lifelong fascination/repulsion of roaches but I don’t know, maybe a good old-fashioned roach tour would help me empathize with my local critters a bit more…who’s with me?
