Today's Photography Friday is not just about pictures, but a little video on what it takes to get pictures - specifically surf pictures. A good friend was doing a little surfing in Tahiti and had a bit of an unfortunate run in with the board (but apparently nothing a fewTahitian nurses and coconut cocktails couldn't fix), and as he was sending over his surfing videos, I couldn't help but think how much goes into getting the shot when someone is atop a moving board...in the ocean...with waves...
The video below, which I first spotted on the Aether Journal, talks about what goes into professional surf photography, which is no small feat. So pour yourself a libation - even if its from the office coffee machine and picture yourself in Tahiti...or anywhere else on the beach, and appreciate some of these aquatic accomplishments.
