Just getting back from a work trip to Florida. Sounds fishy, I know - Florida, and Orlando more specifically, aren't on my usual beat but I was invited to speak at a conference and ended up having one of the best work trips I've ever had.
I'm getting caught up but have some fun iphone snaps from my couple of days in the near-tropical heat. But in the meantime, wanted to share a funky Florida home that was designed by the ever-handsome Nate Berkus. Usually when you see cool homes in Florida, they're in Palm Beach...maybe Key West. And I'll be honest, while I enjoyed my trip, I'm didn't exactly feel like I was cut out for Orlando living. Too much sprawl for my taste and I don't do so well with vast expanses of strip development off highways with no sidewalks (although, it's probably to hot to walk too far anyway). But in any case, this home is actually in Tampa, which makes me feel like maybe all of these homes in Orlando might secretly be harboring a beautiful panoply of lighting orbs...like this house.

That first bedroom is lovely - I especially like the understated pattern on the wallpaper!
