If you’ve been following for awhile, you know from St. Jean de Luz and Venice that I do love a good market, so off we went to take some pictures and pick up some goods at Budapest’s Central Market. It’s the country’s largest indoor market, full of more paprika and Andre the Giant sized salami that you could shake a stick at, with the roof re-tiled post-fall, it’s lookin’ good these days.
But most importantly, it houses our discovery from our last trip – a strudel stand which out-strudels almost anyone in Austria. We found it completely per chance but now always make a trip back – mark the fourth picture below to find it on your own trip. The strudel comes in any flavor you could possibly want (well, at least in theory, your flavor of choice may or may not be in that day), but don’t miss the sour cherry. For 320 forints (about $2.00) a slice could be yours to chase down that salami.
