Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner! After much eyeing, vying and trying, I have finally managed to purchase a one of a kind number by Elva Fields. Despite signing up on several occassions for the mailing list, I managed to actually get a mailing last night informing me of the new holiday collection. Since I happened to be toiling away at my day job, I hopped right on line. Although my first couple of choices were snapped away before I could click "buy", I did manage to walk away with a fine green number (pictured above). Great success!
The big chunky necklaces with attached vintage brooches attached are the perfect diplo-pregnancy accessory, distracting from the volume below with a bit of sparkle and color above. If I could only spring for more than one (although hint, hint, the holidays are coming! mr. diplo - where are you?). The necklace is a bit of a gift to myself since there's not much to buy by way of clothes these days, and certainly not shoes anymore either. We've reached the bitter end everyone -it's flats and muus muus from here on out. But I still have my vanity so necklaces it is, even if that and a hospital gown are the only things that still fit in these last days.
