Diplo-style: Shirin von Wulffen

When I saw Shirin von Wulffen in last month's Town and Country spotlight, it made me realize I've admired her style for awhile. Yet strangely, she's also very elusive.

Shirin was born to German parents in Isfahan, Iran (hence the Iranian name combined with nearly white blond hair), and then graduated on to what I consider to be rather envious careers: VP of Public Relations for YSL, VP of Public Relations for Tom Ford...She's also married to the hair stylist Frederic Fekkai, so her hair always certainly looks good.  There's a pic from her wedding below, which was also extensively covered in Town and Country and despite that, there weren't any pics I could really find on the internet, except the one below, which tragically, does not do the lovely Shirin much justice.

From the few times I've seen her around magazines and such, she seems to be always elegant but understated - always appropriate but never competitive for the limelight - she's the kind of person you notice for all the right reasons (as opposed to some of the society characters you notice for all of the wrong reasons).

Stay tuned for a peek at the country home she shares with Mr. Fekkai tomorrow!
